Starting Salary: Depends on experience

Required Skills: Performs set-ups on coil fed presses. Certified as a Punch Press Set-Up Operator. Punch press and set-up responsibilities with no supervision. Requires successful completion of PPI, PPII, and setup operator training certification. Experienced in the use of inspection equipment. This is a non-exempt position.

Kapco Inc. is looking for Set Up Punch Press Operator at our Osceola, Wisconsin area location. The ideal candidate for this position would be able to do the following:
Performs set-ups on coil fed presses ranging from 0 to 1000 tons in a complete operator status. Instructs and trains press operators in the proper and safe operation of punch press equipment. Performs all quality control inspections. Completes First piece/Last piece inspections, using the proper calibrated measuring devices correctly and completes quality records. Reads and interprets blueprints. Maintains and follows set-up work instruction manual. Determines if dies need repair and tags dies accordingly. Troubleshoots. Initiates action to prevent non-conformances, including shutting equipment down, when necessary. Successfully completes Kapco’s forklift certification program. Completes appropriate paperwork accurately and completely. Other duties as assigned.
Communicate with suppliers or customers on quality and print related issues. Stop production to prevent non-conforming product from being produced. Coordinate employee actions for subordinates to include evaluations, discipline, training, testing, and career development, as needed. Promote and participate on continuous improvement teams, as needed. Other projects and duties as assigned.
