Required skills: Understanding of Material Requirement Planning (MRP), bills of material, inventory control and standard shipping / receiving procedures, knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements, and experience in truck scheduling and route determination. Analytical, written and oral communication skills required. APICS certification a plus.
Required Experience: Five to seven years’ experience in shipping and receiving or freight management. Two or more years of experience in a metal stamping environment desired.

Kapco Inc. is looking for a Logistics Supervisor at our Grafton, Wisconsin facility. The ideal candidate for this position would be able to do the following:
Direct distribution and receiving within Kapco manufacturing facilities.
Management and development of Kapco’s truck fleet including dispatching of trucks to suppliers, customers, and outsource operations.
Manage product flow for work-in-process and finished goods inventory.
Coordinate delivery of product and tooling to manufacturing processes.
Supervise data entry and other support personnel.
Establish priorities and delegate duties.
Ensure distribution packaging is effective for transport of materials.
Keep up to date with required standards, regulations and technologies of position.
Troubleshoot when issues arise.
Successfully complete Kapco’s forklift certification program.
Coordinate employee actions for subordinates to include evaluations, discipline, training, testing, and career development.
Participate in improvement projects, as assigned.
Other duties as assigned.
