Kapco Honors 50 Years of Success with Celebration Featuring Performance by Charlie Berens

| News

Wisconsin comedian joined Kapco employees, their families, and members of the Greater Milwaukee community to honor Kapco, Kacmarcik family legacy

GRAFTON, Wis. – Kapco Metal Stamping, one of the country’s largest contract manufacturers, celebrated its 50th Anniversary on Saturday, August 27, 2022, with a special event featuring an appearance by Wisconsin comedian Charlie Berens.

The event, which recognized the company’s accomplishments over the last five decades and the legacy of Tom and Josephine Kacmarcik, the husband-and-wife team that founded Kapco in 1972, drew nearly 2,000 attendees, including Kapco employees, their families, and members of the Greater Milwaukee community.

During the last 50 years, Kapco has grown from a single location at 1046 Hickory Street in Grafton, which was home to just three pieces of metal stamping equipment, to one of the premier manufacturers of metal components for some of the world’s biggest brands and original equipment manufacturers in the turf and agriculture, heavy equipment, recreational vehicle, military, lighting, and warehousing sectors – amongst others.

Today, Kapco employs nearly 700 people across nine locations in Wisconsin, including operations in Grafton, Osceola, St. Croix Falls, Port Washington, and most recently, a state-of-the-art facility in Germantown.

Today, Kapco deploys more than 50 servo, hydraulic, and mechanical metal stamping presses; 30 robotic welding cells; and a diverse fleet of precision, high-speed lasers, and automated fabrication equipment.

In addition to celebrating the dynamic growth of Kapco’s business, the event also recognized the considerable philanthropic impact Kapco and its Chairman and CEO, Jim Kacmarcik, have had on the Greater Milwaukee community. In 2022, Kapco reorganized under the Kacmarcik Enterprises family of companies, a portfolio of companies in the industrial, human performance and social impact, and consumer verticals. Together, the organization and its brands are committed to positively impacting the lives of one million people every year.

“This is a celebration that my family, and the entire Kapco family, have been looking forward to for some time,” Kacmarcik said. “We’re thrilled to have had nearly 2,000 attendees – including the talented and hilarious Charlie Berens – to honor the legacy and history of Kapco, and the foundation that my parents laid for this company.”
